Charlotte Windebank - Events Co-ordinator
Charlotte’s passion for events stems from organizing music festivals and charity events while studying at University of Leeds. Since her return to the north east, Charlotte has been running the Clock Tower café at Hoults Yard and masterminding the ‘in conversation with.. events’ at Bridge Club. She is bringing all her energy and attention to detail into the organization of all Bridge Club networking events in the north east: ‘ It’s great to work with Caroline and the rest of the Bridge Cub team – we’re having fun , meeting great new people and making a difference.’

Olivia Engellau - Swedish Chamber of Commerce Trainee

A Swedish, driven, entrepreneurial student currently studying in her second year of business and management at Newcastle University. Olivia is primarily engaged in the Swedish Chamber of Commerce, facilitating Caroline’s work with her local knowledge of Sweden and energetic drive to bring anglo-Swedish relationships to new levels. She is tri-lingual, bringing an international touch to the Bridge Club team! ‘ Working with Caroline and the rest of the team is not only enriched by skill-set, given me the opportunity to meet and work with some of the north east’s top professionals, but I’ve also been encouraged to develop my own ideas and put them into practice! I can’t wait to see what exciting challenges are ahead of me!'

Tom Batting - Special Projects
Tom is an adaptable, charismatic and enterprising student currently in his final year at Newcastle University studying management and economics. Tom’s primary role is special projects and more specifically he is one of the primary architects behind FIRST. With his student contacts and Bridge Club’s local knowledge FIRST brings together the best and brightest young enterprising minds with established entrepreneurs, investors and professionals offering advice. ‘working at Bridge Club has provided me with great experiences. From meeting recently successful entrepreneurs, to tip-top professionals from Newcastle, I am learning more and more about the business environment and loving every minute!’
Caroline Theobald - MD
Caroline is a connector! She established Bridge Club in 2000 to introduce ideas people to money people and new markets. Eleven years on this private company is still going strong and has given birth to FIRST, being run by Tom; the north east chapter of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce, being looked after by Olivia; and a host of ‘in conversation with… ‘ events being co-ordinated by Charlotte. ‘Bridge Club has been given new energy by the arrival of Charlotte, Olivia and Tom – because they’re half my age they think differently and engage enthusiastically in all forms of social media.’
